We built Speaki around some truths that non-native English speakers everywhere know all too well. In so many of our countries — the Philippines, India, and far beyond — the people who speak English with confidence get paid more, get promoted faster, and get taken more seriously.
Safe spaces to practise, without being laughed at, corrected mid-sentence, or judged for your accent, are so hard to come by. Speaki is our way of paying it forward.

Born in the Philippines, a global citizen, a lifelong student of life, and a firm believer that your voice deserves to be heard — shaky hands and imperfect grammar included.
Before Speaki, Rochelle spent 9 years in the corporate world wearing every hat imaginable — running operations, driving sales, leading marketing. She lived and travelled across the US and Southeast Asia, immersing herself in different cultures through food, languages, and real conversations with locals. That's exactly where her passion for communication was born.
She taught English communication for four years on another platform before venturing out on her own with two great friends. Outside of Speaki, she runs People Behind People, a digital agency helping businesses build their online presence, and co-founded The Helping Hands Philippines, bringing preventive healthcare education to communities across the country. These days, you'll also find her on a farm, learning to live off the land.
Free-spirited, a work in progress, and deeply committed to growth, kindness, and showing up for others.

A communication and training professional with a background in English language coaching, leadership, and business operations. As a Communication Trainer and later a Training Supervisor at a leading BPO company, Katherine helped learners develop the confidence and communication skills needed to succeed in the workplace.
She's also an avid book lover and entrepreneur — the owner of The Book Haven and Pahina, two businesses that reflect her passion for books, learning, community, and meaningful conversations.
Katherine is dedicated to helping others grow, and believes that confidence is built through consistent practice, continuous improvement, and a commitment to learning.

Born and raised in India, Priyam is a non-native English speaker who knows exactly what it feels like to hesitate before speaking. He wasn't born confident in English — like many learners, he had to practise, make mistakes, and keep showing up until communication became one of his greatest strengths.
Over the past five years, he's built his career in product management, working with clients across the US, the UK, and Australia. Collaborating with people from different cultures, leading discussions, and turning ideas into products taught him something important: clear communication creates opportunities, and confidence matters far more than having a perfect accent or flawless grammar.
At Speaki, Priyam understands the challenges because he's lived them himself. Whether you're nervous about speaking in meetings, talking to international clients, or simply having everyday conversations, he's here to help you build the confidence to speak naturally and authentically.
Outside of work, he's passionate about technology, building products that solve real problems, and continuously learning.
